Over 25 million men, women, and children are forced into labor all around the world, desperately looking for help, and those who do get out need assistance.

One local organization is stepping up and focusing on men who are affected in our community.

Knowing where you come from is a luxury for a lot of people in our country, but for some, it’s still unknown. For some people, there’s a roadblock with lost records. Some just don’t know where to start. Luckily in Central Virginia, there are numerous tools you can use to find your history.

The protest is just one of many across the nation as the 50501 movement takes hold in 50 states, with 50 protests and one movement, aimed at resisting what they call executive overreach by the Trump administration.

As this 2023 comes to a close, we’re looking back at a monumental moment in Richmond—the 50th anniversary of hip-hop celebration. Over the summer, the River City had its birthday bash at the historic Hippodrome. Giving flowers to those who paved the way for the genre.

Ready for a totally new roller coaster experience? Rapterra - the tallest and longest “winged” coaster in the world - is opening soon at Kings Dominion.

On Thursday, 12 On Your Side’s Azriah Bryant got to experience the ride first-hand, live on air on CW Richmond.

‘Who would tell these stories?’: The history and future of the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia

Maggie L. Walker, Arthur Ashe, and Wendell Johnson are just a few of the Black Virginians who changed history in our area and worldwide.

But what about names like Carter G Woodson, Mary Richards Bowser, and Dorothy I. Height? They also made contributions. Their stories are alive at the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia. Curators vow never to let those stories fade away.
